The Games

There are two types of competition:

One Day Events: Angling; Bell Boating; Bowls; Cross Country; Men’s 5-a-Side Football; Petanque; Rounders; Junior and Senior Table Tennis.

Knock-Out Events: Crib; Ladies’ Darts; Men’s Darts; Dominoes; Pool; Skittles. 

The Knock-Out Events start in August and continue to a final, which is held in October or early November. Typically 15 Events are organised over a six-month period from June through to November. In previous years 35 Parishes have entered and over 1000 participants competed.

Engraved Trophies, many of which have been in existence since the start of the Games, are awarded to the Winners and Runners Up in each Event with the much-coveted Silver Salver being awarded to the overall Winning Parish. These Trophies, as well as a number of others, are given out at the annual Presentation Night hosted by the previous year’s overall Winning Parish; this year, this will be held at TBA in November.
